PUSH: Pray Until Something Happens.

“So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,

43  And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down that the rain stop thee not.1 King 18:42-44

I’ve been walking with the Lord, for the last 27 years, and during this time, I have never been given anything that has been easy. God has special ways of training His soldiers, and easiness is not one of them. Please do not get me wrong. I’m not saying that life should always be a struggle. I don’t believe that at all, I think it should be sweet. But life without challenges, is not for Apostolic soldiers. The ministry and destiny that God is calling you to birth, will always come with a price. You will always be required to push, or press, towards something. There is no rise that will come, without first paying a price. But there are many prizes when you rise.

I’ve also discovered that in life, the more I push, the stronger I become. A number of years ago, I gave myself a challenge. The challenge was to do 20 full body squats a day, than add 10 every day, and do this for 30 days. In the middle of this routine, I asked myself what have I done? And what have I committed myself to? But I realized that the more I did it, the stronger I became, and the more developed my core was. And the same can be said about your spiritual life.

When God wants to stretch you, and bring you into higher realms of Glory, He does this by first putting the dream in your heart, a dream that is bigger than you, and meant to stretch you into Christ. Because, until your faith is stretched into the anointing, you have not come into your destiny. The challenges must stretch you to the point where you have no choice but to acknowledge that you need help from God. If not, you are still operating in the natural realm. In other words, God needs you to go beyond yourself, to break into the anointing. That was the testimony of the lady with the issue of blood. She pressed, and pushed, until she had a breakthrough.

PUSH: Pray Until Something Happen.

I remember the day when the Lord spoke to us, to invite my friend from Brazil, to come to a men’s conference. The name of the conference was called, “The Father’s Dream.” We had so many problems getting him here. The first problem was believing God for the money to get his ticket. That might sound so simple, but in the early days of our ministry, that was a big mountain. But we pushed, and prayed until something happened. So, we got the money for his ticket, only to find out that the Canadian consulate rejected his application for the visa. Most people would have quit – but not us! We refused to accept no for an answer. We kept pushing, and putting pressure, on the pressure.

When God speaks to you, and gives you a dream, before it is actualized, or comes into fruition, there must be a press. Every God-given dream comes packaged with some type of problem.  I’m quite aware that most people do not like to hear that, but it is still true.

When God gave the children of Israel the Promised Land, yes it was a land flowing with milk and honey. It was a land with vineyards they had not planted, houses they had not built, and wells they had not dug. But the Bible specifically tells us that it was also a land that was filled with Giants. And this month, God wants you to be like Caleb and Joshua, and declare that the Giants are food for us.

The Giants will cause you to put on muscle, and to stand in your place of apostolic and prophetic assignment. The bigger the giants, the bigger the testimony. Therefore, the idea, or belief that God’s dreams, are void of problems, is not Scriptural.

Partners, every dream that God gave you, has to be pushed out into the natural realm. Just because God gave you a dream, does not mean it will come easy. Sometimes the push will come in the form of seeking divine counsel, or in the form of fasting, and prayer. But remember, you are not begging God. God is with you, and for you. You’re pushing through resistance, self-doubt and sometimes negative environments, and demonic activities.

No Silver Platter

I’m so done with people, and preachers, who give you the impression that their dreams, breakthroughs, and ministry, came out of Heaven, on a Silver Platter. They never want to tell you about the hell they went through to get it. By doing this, they leave you with the impression that everything comes easy. And then, as you set out to face your dreams, you want to quit after the first challenge you experience. But today, I want to prophesy over you, that you are not a quitter, because you have the spirit of an overcomer. The spirit of your Father is in you. There are some mountains in life that are stubborn, and will require you to push, and pray until something happens. But do not be discouraged if things don’t change overnight. Keep pushing, keep pressing, and keep holding on. Your breakthrough is near, and you will see the victory, in Jesus Name.
Let me get back to my Brazil story. The Lord told me it’s time to fight for my inheritance. We easily could have crossed our arms, and said it’s over. We could have said well, it must not have been the will of God, because if it was His will, it would have happened. No, no, no, a thousand times no! The devil is a liar. What we decided to do is make some phone calls. We called our representative in Ottawa (the capital city of Canada) and pleaded our case to him. But he told us that if the Canadian consulate had rejected his visa, there was not much that we could do.

Yes, there were times when we felt very defeated. But we pulled ourselves together, and kept  praying until something happened.  A few days after talking to our Canadian representative in Ottawa, Canada, we received a phone call with good news. His application was re-evaluated, and had been expedited. He could pick up his visas. And in a matter of days, he arrived in Canada. We had a glorious conference.

It has been over 10 years since that testimony. Wow, wow, wow, it was such a sweet victory. And, I’ve learned many vital lessons in spiritual warfare from this situation. One of the lessons I’ve learned is that just because God tells you to do something, does not mean it will happen automatically. NO, the will of God is not automatic. The will of God must be prophetically enforced, so refuse to quit on your God-given dreams. If there is a yes in your spirit, it’s because there is a yes in Heaven for you. Remember, you are anointed by God, and God is with you. Keep prophesying, and keep pressing to the greater Glory. Greater days are ahead of you.    I will see you at the top
